hi,
looking to set up my first home studio. Just need a few inputs (4 at most i think) and a midi for my keyboard. Just wanting to know is there an entry level simplistic mixer i can buy to get me off the ground?

there may be another post like this already, as i am new, just direct me in yonder direction (:

many thanks guys

Well, it all depends on the amount of money you're willing to spend as mixers can range greatly in price. I recommend getting a digital mixer with a preamp of some sort. Digidesign has a few bundles that are great for starting off. However if you're more into the analog style I'd recommend a Tascam porta-studio. A buddy of mine uses a Tascam 2488 (not exactly sure if thats the right model...sorry) and has no complaints. But like I said I would try and find something that you can mix digitally, it makes life a lot easier. hope this helped.
