Hi Gang.
A friend of mine is searching for a basic soundcard for his PC. His needs are pretty simple. Briefly, he wants:
* 1 MIDI in, 1 MIDI out
* 2 (L+R) balanced analog 1/4" outs or similar
That's it! He is not doing professional work, so my initial recommendations of cards like the MOTU line were *waaaay* above and beyond his needs.
I imagine one could pick up a card like this without having to spend much money, but I don't know where to start looking for this type of consumer/hobbyist grade card. Any advice would be much appreciated!
ps if the card were GSIF-compatible (for use with the GigaStudio), it would be helpful.
