Anyone have experience with the Goldwave software?

Waves Do Me Good

Yes I shure have. I'm not a pro at recording, but its a very good program thus far. I use it along with Sound Forge 8.0, It's not totally nec. but I like how they work together. Its def. worth the money. I've seen studios that spend a pritty penny use this program. Thats about all I can tell ya. Any questions let me know.

I like it for batch proccessing my wavs into mp3s and stuff like that.

recently I've been using Vegas for everything though, directly frmo the mix to mp3, instead of making the intermediate wav, unless i need it.

I will use Goldwave to either open files that no other program will open for whatever reason, or to convert to odd formats. It is VERY effective at both! It has saved my ass MANY times by opening odd file extensions and/or files that for some reason would not open in other applications.

The editing in it is stupid simple too! Some of the highlighting features are downright cool!

It is just starting to support third party plugins, and the first two versions that I tried that did, seemed to have some weird problems. Not sure if the most current version fixed all that or not, but, I don't really *need* Goldwave as I have Wavelab 5, which I think is a much more powerful app for what I use it for.

If I was on the cheap and needed a two track editor, I would get the full version for sure! Otherwise, for how little I use it, the full functioning/no time limit demo is just fine for me.
