Going from mono to stereo track

The thing is,you can make two mono tracks act like one stereo track and do things you can't do with a stereo track.Adjust the volume of each track seperately,change the phase of one if needed,or just flat out eliminate one if it doesn't sound good.

If there's an advantage to recording to a stereo track,I'm all ears. :confused:
 
ahhh.......good. thanks for clarifying. i was lost in what he was actually trying to do.........but after your explanation, yes...its best to record 2 mono tracks..........
