I just hooked up my new pick up, I'M GETTIing sound out of the guitar and in the mix position but not when I go to synth mode?

Troubleshoot inthe manual refers me to pg.51 of the GR33 manual but I don't understand anything as usual cuz I just got it and frustrated...Help me if you have one

The switch has 3 positions. One for guitar only, one for synth only, and one for both (called Mix).

I never use the guitar part and run a separate cable as I use a Variax.
