Have you ever written songs to order? haha, I used to do rhymes for people for birthday cards for a laugh, but not too long ago the drummer in my band tasked me with writing a song that was both like a horror film and also about people just work for money and are in a Zombie like state...I saw it as a challenge and this is what I came up with (not many lyrics..but it did the job)..

Money Zombie

Brainless, mindless
Faithless, godless
Tempt us
You don’t, you don’t, you don’t, you don’t, you don’t
Impress us, distress us
Disease our minds and caress us
Tempt us
You don’t, you don’t, you don’t, you don’t, you don’t

(Chorus)
Do it for the love
Do it for the joy
You do it for the money (zombie)
Do it for the love
Do it for the joy
You do it for the money (zombie)

Soul-less, praying
You’re god has left you decaying
Tempt us
You don’t, you don’t, you don’t, you don’t, you don’t
Reanimation, copulation
Their breeding a zombie nation
Tempt us
You don’t, you don’t, you don’t, you don’t, you don’t

You don’t.
(Chorus)

(Solo)

You don’t.
(Chorus)
(Chorus)

(Outro)

...

I like it...

I could picture it as a heavy metal song...

Special request

My sister asked me to write a song for our fathers surprise birthday party when he turned 84.

"The Pleasure of knowing You"

You gave me the greatest gift of all
the pleasure of knowing you
You gave me the greatest gift of all
the chance of loving you

All I can do in return
are words and melodies
that express to you in turn
the love I feel for thee

You gave me the greatest gift of all
The pleasure of knowing you
You gave me the greatest gift of all
I came to life through you

I fumble for the words
cause I never had the nerve
to say to you aloud
these words I'm saying now
