Hey guys hope some of you can take a listen to this song my band just finished up....its called the Ghost and the Girl....any advice, suggestions, comments, concerns would be greatly appreciated!

sounds pretty cool...

i cant really give you any critiques, because i know pretty well that myspace makes songs sound like shit lol... but as far as the song as a whole goes... i like it.
 
true myspace does make stuff sound pretty crappy....but thanks
 
The vocals are kinda spotty. Off key in several spots. And I'm just not feeling it when the guy yells. He's doing it all quiet and reserved, not putting himself into the performance.

Other than that it's a decent tune. It IS kinda hard to critique a mix when listening on a myspace player.
 
Agree about the vocals being a little off-key in parts. Also they are a little dry-sounding to my ears. Perhaps add a little more reverb. I don't really think the backing vocals work either, they are the same as the main vocal. I would definetely get whoever is doing them to try and harmonize or do something more interesting than just singing the same thing. Saying that though, there are some nice backing vocal touches at around 2:23 - I really like those, definetely adds to things. Liked the song, and on the whole I think the mix is pretty good - personally I'd take the drums down a notch and work on the vocal things I mentioned earlier but good stuff - keep it up. :)
 
Thanks guys ill take a listen for the drums maybe they need to come down a hair....the lead vocals are actually being redone...so they should improve upon whats originally done.
