Hi,

I'm having a LOT of trouble finding a soundcard within the 200-400 dollar range.

So far I've come down to the Gina24(400) and the Audiophile (200). I heard that Audiophile's converter's (delta) are better than the Gina24's. Gina24 has 8 outputs which I don't need, Audiophile has 2 which is enough. The only minus I see is that Audiophile has unbalanced I/O. Has anybody else had experience with these two?

The other cards I was looking at was the hoontech Audio DSP MK II (250) but some people were saying that this card has horrible latency. And I was looking at the Egosys Waveterminal 24/96, nobody has said much about this card.

I need a card with 2 analog I/O and 2 digital I/O within 200-400, am I missing any other cards? Can someone please help?

Thanks a lot!

I just found the Aardvark direct pro for $465. U.S.,
at Bayviewproaudio.com. If you have a Guitar Center near you they will beat that price!

I just bought the Audiophile 2496 from Guitar Center for $149.00 on sale. I had to call 7 Guitar Centers until I found one (Boston, 617.738.5958). It is out of state so they had to ship it to me. It should be at my house this week. I will let you know what I find out about it once it I use it......

they also have:
Lexicon Core2 for $299
M Audio Delta 66 & Omni $399
M Audio Delta 44 $299
M Audio Delta 1010 & Vegas for $599
Midiman DMAN $74.99

go to http://www.guitarcenter.com to find a store near you for these deals....

I would think about getting the Delta 66 from Bayview for $307 shipped.

I'm actually having them beat the GC price on the Delta 66/Omni bundle - ordering tonight.

They also should have the Aardvark LX6, which is the same as the Direct Pro w/o the mic pre's. $350.

i'm very curious: who told you the hoontech had such a high latency?
