GINA LINE NOISE?

I have my Gina card installed in a new "super" PC, an ART TubeMP mic preamp going to the Gina interface box, and an Audio Technica mic (w/new battery) going into the preamp. I get my recording levels to clipping status with a combination of tweeking the input/output knobs on the preamp and tweeking the input level in the Gina mixer. My concern is the "line noise" that I get which not only shows up on my Soundforge Software (about -66dbls to -54dbls) but also shows up as audible hiss in my AKG headphones. Is this normal and should I be concerned?

I have a Darla (virtually the same as a Gina, but with no digital jacks), and when I'm set up for recording, with my Spirit mixer's preamps set up for my mic and my compressor's noise gate off (letting sound pass through), I'm getting line noise down in the -96db range. This is pretty darned good, considering my Sound Blaster AWE32 sat somewhere in the 48-50db range.
