Gigastudio LE

I bought the Tascam-1804, which came with Cubase LE and Gigastudio LE.

I installed everything, but when i installed Gigastudio it made my pc freeze. I restarted my pc a couple of times and it still froze, then it came up saying that the computer had recovered from a serious error and that it was disabling giga 3.

I was able to register Gigastudio, but it still does not work. Whenever i try to open it, it says "Gigastudio did not initialize properly. Do you want to run Gigastudio in diagnostic mode?" If i say no, it closes. If yes it opens in diagnostic mode, but whenever i click ok or apply it comes up saying Gigastudio 3 workstation has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience... Please tell Microsoft about this problem... Send Error Report/Don't Send.

Does anyone know what's wrong? Has it happened with you? And how do i fix it?

I ran a system diagnostic of Gigastudio, which I have attached.

I've done a google search of NMSReg32.exe(which seems to be missing) and found a couple of people with the same problem. There doesn't seem to be any solution posted that i can find.

i got the same exact problem and i don't know how to fix it so i took gigastudio of my pc so it would run without freezing anymore
 
I got it working, but i still had a bunch of problems with the rest of my family pc. So i had to take it off too. My pc a lot better now, but still now fully recovered. :mad:
 
There is deff. some kind of bug in the software. I never found any help topics on that topic either which i thought was weird

I just googled it for ages and found many many people with the same problems. i duno how i got it to work, but even though it worked, to an extent, it still fucked up the rest of my pc. I had to remove it.
 
The gigastudios bundled with my Tascam and my friends caused the PCs to crash.
 
I took Gigastudio off my computer several years ago because it had the same problem. My non-technical understanding is that Giga has a patented way of streaming samples off the hard drive and if you don't run your sequencer from inside Giga it will mess things up. I think that's why people that use Giga have a computer dedicated just to Giga. When it's the only audio program on the computer it works great and you can load up a bunch of instruments at the same time without overloading RAM. My Gigastudio-only computer is coming in tomorrow (hopefully) so I'm looking forward to seeing how it will interface with my main computer!

Did your giga-pc come? How is it?

That's a bit shit, having to have a complete pc dedicated to one program. Especially an LE program.
