Anyone have experience with Gigasampler? I'm considering the Pro Suite primarily for the Gigasampler, and I'd like to get users' input.
Is it worth the extra cost over Deluxe 9, as well as more expensive computer system requirements?
I occasionally use orchestral sounds (been using an Ensoniq EPS-16+ for years), and from the short samples I've heard, the Gigasampler sounds pretty amazing.

Caveat Emptor

I own giga studio 96 and pro audio 9. Giga is an amazing thing.... real instrument sounds... and i consider software sampling to be biggest thing to come out since the first digital synths...that being said giga is one finicky resource hog...1.your sound card must be multiclient and GSIF compatible or have two sound cards in one machine, not often easily done irq conflicts drivers et al....2 you will definitely need mucho power in your PC to have it run comfortably and do anything else like record....3 the samples are not cheap..cakewalk will bundle some sounds with suite (i hope perhaps the gigapiano)and there some decent free download gigs....but i have yet to find orchestral strings i thought sounded good so you may have to pay 150$+ to achieve what you want.....my best advice spend a month researching the giga users groups at northern sound and sonic spot......I really enjoy the giga thing but it crashes and you never know what might happen when you push the limits...
