Here is a technique that I've stumbled across. If you already know it, that's cool, but if not, here you go...

First...

Record your vocals the way you want them to sound.

Then...

Reverse the wave form so that the vocals are backwards.

Next...

Add some reverb to the reversed vocals. It works best with a long reverb but you can use a sorter form if you want.

Then...

Flip the waveform back around and there you go!

That's a great effect. You hear it done more often with guitar leads (Hendrix), but I imagine it'd be pretty cool with vox too.
 
In my analog days I used to flip the tape over and run the vocals to a delay, and the delay return to a reverb, then record the output of the reverb to an empty track. Mega-cool effect, but must be used sparingly.

They are using that effect on the new Jay-Z Bonnie & Clyde tune.
