Sorry, a ballad is not a valid genre for this forum. I can't blame you for not responding. Mods please strike this thread.

I`m listening to Fire and Life.

And first of all I think the recording is pristine.
Well balanced and clear sounding.

I get a Jethro Tull Vibe from this Reason For Waiting from the Stand up album.

I also hear some Cat Stevens in there.

Both are artist I think are brilliant, and your certainly not bad yourself:D

I have no nits with this one, except I think its a damn fine piece of work.

one of the best new songs I`ve heard in ages.

Brilliant:cool:

Dont sell yourself short, it not a ballad its a masterpiece:cool:

Just listened to Ghost ship`s parade as well.

Damn fine piece, clear and well produced as the other one.

The atmosphere in this tune is just great, with the waves and the mellow guitars.

I have a friend who just released a record with tunes inspired by the sea and tunes made by people sailing.

I bet you he`d love your stuff.

I`ll pass the link on.

Thanks for sharing your great music:)

Hehe....Man, you got to not take it personally when people don't respond. It happens to everyone depending on when we post. It's not as busy around here as it used to be...It goes up and down.:)

I love your songs because you always arrange them in a very interesting way. I love your voice in this, and story-telling A-A-B-A songs always make me listen and give me a shiver. Great stuff.....DON'T add drums. :D

What RAMI said.
Another fine piece my man. As a matter of PT I'd lower the vox a bit - not because I want to bury the story - just because the music is so lovely.
I like this!
When are you going to repost the last one you did SANS the kit?

Thank you very much, Nakatira, for your kind review of my songs. I love songs about the sea and the animals that live there. You made my day with your appreciation and praise. :)

Thanks for responding, RAMI. I love your songs, too. Don't worry, I won't add drums. I've been sucking at it so bad lately that you guys have got me gun shy.

You think I'm a candidate for EZ Drummer, or should I just save up my money and pay you?:D

Thanks, rayc. I think you are referring to Dangerous Days. I sent that one to a drummer in Southern Victoria, Australia and haven't heard back from him. I think he was just going to use some really minimalist stuff like bells and tympani. I've played around a bit with very minor accents and I think it sounds pretty good, but I thought I'd wait and see what he comes up with. RAMI is really good with that stuff, too.:)

Ghost Ship Parade is pretty good. Nice story song. The vox are a little too up front for my tastes, but it's certainly not bad. Nice haunting vibe to it.

Thanks, Greg, I'm glad you like it. :)

This is simply beautiful!
Did you use a chorus on the voice? Sounds so good, love the guitars too and it absolutely doesn't need drums! Well done!

Cheers
Joe

I really liked the playing and sound on the guitars. Vocals were very good too. I was about to think it was running a bit long, then the little break around 4:50 took care of that. Very good song.

Thanks, Joey, It's unanimous, I won't screw this one up with drums.:D

Thanks very much, Riffmaster, Yeah, I worry about the length, too. They say the best length is about 3:15, but Nakatira just posted a cool one about 12:20 or something. Thanks for saying that this length didn't bother you. Quite a compliment, actually. :)

Thanks man, pleasure was mine.

Your tunes are great:)
