Getting voice doubling in headphones ...

Good day all !

I have Ableton Live 11.05 standard.
Cranbourne 500R8
Windows 10

I am trying to setup for live (no recording).

I have a couple channels with music and audio clips that sound ok in the master bus.

Problem is the mic gets doubled ... like an echo in my headphones.

The Cranbourne is a interesting USB interface. It is on my short list for the studio but I'd have to up my budget a bit. So congrats on your choice.

There is a blend knob on the Cranbourne like most other USB interfaces. In the center is both the preamp direct and the monitor audio from the DAW. Pick one and mute the other. What I mean is if you prefer to monitor through the DAW, turn the knob all the way to the right and that will remove the direct sound from the preamp but you'll have a bit of latency as the audio will have to make the round trip in and then out of the DAW. The other option is to monitor your mic channel direct by leaving it in the center position but muting the microphone channel monitor out in Ableton so that it is not coming out from the DAW.
