Could somebody explain how I can get my songs from my 8 track digital recording unit to my pc so I can burn them on cd. I know I go from my stereo outs into line in on my computer, but I don't know what to do next. I have a patch chord(2 rca jacks into a 1/16"). what else do I need?

Thanks

All you want to do is get a mix off, right? All you need from there is an audio recorder like GoldWave. http://www.goldwave.com/ You can get a trial version there. It's fully functional, but it only lets you execute a certain number of commands before you have to save your work and quit and restart the program.

You are correct. Hook up your RAC outs to the Line In on your sound card, open up your volume control, click "Options", then click "Properties" and click "Recording" under "Adjust Volume For". From there, just open Gold Wave and record the new file. Be sure that you don't clip it though.
