Hello all-

I am using a Kurzweil K2000 for live keyboards and was wondering if any of you knew how to get a good Wurlitzer electric piano (w/ vibrato) patch. We recorded with a legit Wurly, but are trying to emulate it live (story of our lives, right!?).

Or better yet, where can I just add vibrato in a regular elec. piano patch (they have some pretty good sounding ones)?

It's not under effects and thought it might be some other parameter I am not familiar with.

Thanks!

ya might think about calling sweetwater... they for years have been one of the leaders in sounds for kurz... or just get used to useing the EP du'jour that you've got... granted that a 200 has a distinctive sound but is it the sound that makes the part or is it what you played???

Thanks man; I'll check out Sweetwater.

Believe me the sound of the 200A in this regard is so much of the mood of the piece, ya know?

We aren't outsourcing an external EP so it has to be a wave thing in the keyboard.

I think we got it tho.

The suitcase piano works really well with the vibrato it already has.

Have you tried using the mod wheel on your Kurzweil?
Most of the time it is setup to add vibrato to any sound you are playing.

Edit the program, go to the Pitch page, assign an LFO to Src2, ModWheel to DptCtrl, leave MinDpt at 0 and adjust MaxDpt to taste. You will then need to go to the LFO page and adjust the rate of LFO1 or LFO2 (whichever you've assigned on the Pitch page) to taste. Hit Exit and save program.

is the vibrato the issue??? there's way more to the wurly sound than the vibrato... it uses a flat reed thats struck for the initial sound... that's what makes that sound what it is as opposed to the round tine in a rhodes that gives a more bell quality...
