So I'm reading that it's a good idea to record vocals "dry" yet have reverb in the headphones while actually recording. So my question is, is there a way to do this with the DP-01? That is, can I send a reverbed signal to my headphones while recording only a dry signal to the track?

If You are talking about DP-01FX and its's built in reverb that is very easy. Just turn the reverb on and adjust it just like You want. The reverb will not be on recorded track. I do it like that all the time.

Unfortunately I didn't get the FX, so I'm hoping to use hardware reverb patched into the recorder. I'm thinking this ain't possible...

:D Yo West:

Most all of the SIABs I've had would let reverb into the cans but not into the track UNLESS you assigned it.

I'm not familiar with your SIAB; however, I'm thinking....can you patch your cans to the reverb unit--that way you would hear reverb while recording but it would not go to the track.

Just a thought.
