Are there any Radio DJs who accept demos?

As my stuff is Folk/Country, I'm thinking along the lines of Bob Harris or someone like that.

I'm an announcer on a community radio station in Australia. Maybe you were thinking of something a little bigger... but I will happily accept your demo, and play it if it's good.

email me for the postal address if you're interested: naughtynow@gmail.com

Most of your Radio DJ's won't play a record from anywhere.
It helps a lot to have your material already playing in many many venues & have a great following. Once your material is in say quite a few clubs, and your followings keep calling up radio stations to request, the Radio DJ's usually will hit up their Program Director & get about playing the song. OR if you have friends in there, it's much easier. Or, hit up college radio stations. College radio are more likely to play local & indie music than mainstream music.

In the UK, the late John Peel at the BBC was quite receptive to unsigned demos and happily played them on his show if he liked the stuff.

Just wondered if there was anybody else like that around at the moment.
