Alright, so I don't know if this is in the proper section, so move me if I'm incorrect.

Anyways, so over the last year I've been saving up and purchasing some
random tidbits of recording equipment. So far I've accumulated M-Audio
StudioPro3 monitors, an M-Audio USB Recording Interface, a Tapco 12 track mixer and a GrooveTubes Condenser Microphone. I've been using the
condenser mic through the m-audio USB interface for the last little while, but
now that I've got a band going on I'm trying to use the mixer to get everyone
recording live at once, instead of track by track like when I was solo. I have
no idea how to get a good quality multitrack recording out of the stuff I have,
so if anyone could give me some insight into how to hook all this up and run it
for optimal sound quality that would be great. I'm 16 and have had absolutely
no introduction into audio recording, other then the self taught knowledge I
used to get by on.

Thanks in advance,
Gregg

Well it is going to be tough especially if you have a Real drum Kit to mic up.....

If you are going to be recording multiple sources at the same time (Drums,Guitar,Bass,Keys, ect) then you should really get an interface that has more inputs as your USB one I think only has 2 inputs....

I suppose you could Plug everything into your Mixer and connect the left and right outputs of the Mixer into your Interface but if you do it this way you won"t be able to adjust the levels of individual tracks after recording.....

You could say Mic up the drums through your mixer and record them first, and then add Bass, Guitar keys ect seperately, this way would let you adjust the levels of each Instrument individualy....

Good luck
