Sup guys, Just looking for advice and some knowledge.

I'm getting back into music, and it's been a a solid 10 years since I have attempted to record anything. I started out on a Tascam mk11 tape 4 track and worked up to some computer recording. I am familiar with programs such as acid and cubase but I am not up to date on all the new programs and such out there.

So I just bought a digi 001 off ebay for $100. I know it's outdated, as I run an xp system but from what I read I can upgrade to pro tools 6.4 off the website and be good to go. I have yet to install it.

In looking around it seems I was going to spend at least a solid $300 for an interface and for what I am going to do with it the digi 001 should get the job done.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You don't really mention what advice you're looking for.
If it's for programmes to use, there are a lot. A quick Google will bring up a ton of stuff. As you've already bought an interface, it seems pointless giving advice on that. What other gear do you already have? What are you planning to use it for?
