Did george Martin ever put out a book on his recording techniques? Would be very interesting read. I know he loved the to double their vocals allot

He has a biography out called All You Need is Ears which apparently covers some of his recording, Beatles etc, and his life in general. Not sure how much technical chat it has though, but I'll probably buy it anyway.

I have "All You Need is Ears," not much technical stuff but very interesting story of his life and how he got into the whole business, well worth a read. It was revised in 1994 so get that version if you buy a second hand one.

Another book which is a good read in "The complete Beatles Recording Sessions", this is not in print now but you may pick up second hand copy, there was a hard back and a paper back version, both are the same inside but the paperback was cheaper to buy. It was reprinted later under slightly different titles so you may pick one up.

Cheers

Alan.

I second the motion ! In terms of recording this is a superb book. Full of great stories and info from a variety of sources that worked with George Martin. As for George himself, he features in loads of books. There are just so many. A few examples are "Behind the glass, glass behind.webp"The record producers"producers.webpand "Good vibrations"mark.webpQuite often, it's the little parts of books and their info that I've found to be really vitally interesting.
