I've picked up bass again recently because I have started accompanying a friend of mine doing that singer-songwriter thing on acoustic guitar.
I noticed after I had worked out parts to his tunes that I never played a note lower than low A.
Working with a single acoustic guitar obviously makes a difference.
Even when I played bass with a regular band, I didn't spend too much time lower than that. Maybe I just don't like the sound of the lower notes on my cheap bass rig.
Anyone with a similar feeling or do live on your 5th string?
