i have two accoutic/electric guitars i use live. my martin has a built in preamp. my yamaha needs a preamp. i bought a digitec genesis1 effects box for them both. the preampness of it appears to be working with my yamaha but i have no foot pedal to operate
it with(seperate purchase)

i want the digital reverb/chorus going on at the same time but want the chorus off on certain songs and certain passasges thru a song.

i'm used to just a boss chorus pedal on the floor and reverb from my PA.

since i hate using my hands on stage to operate this stuff, will this pedal do what i wanna do? anybody use the genesis1 witha foot pedal? thx jw

Are you talkinfg about the $99 one? they make another one for $300, that is programable with more effects, and i think you can get a foot switch for this one.

yea, the $99 one. it's got a footswitch bought seperately for $50.

jus wondering if it's worth the investment?

Sorry to get away from your question, but I was wondering what you (or anyone) think of the Genesis 1? My J-Station died, and I was thinking about getting one to replace it. I mean, there both really digitech, right? I don't need tons of effects. Just the basic amp models, if the sounds are usable. I have a crappy RP100, that on gets like one usable tone. I hope the Genesis would lean more to the side of the J-station than the RP100. Thanks

i guy i work with just bought one and brought in a cdr of a tune he recorded with it. It distotian sounds pretty good on it. Im supprised it sounds that good for $100. Im thinking of getting one.
Behringer makes this V-amp for $130,its programable(i think) comes with a footswitch and a pasdded bag.seems like a good deal.(!??)

I just look at the V-amp in the MF site, it does seem like a good deal. The J-Station really pissed me off. It broke twice on me. The first time they fixed it with no problems. This time I'm getting the run around. I love the way it sounds, but I must have got a lemon. I have a recording session coming up at the end of the month, and now all I have is the RP100. I guess I'll just have to make due.

I heard they discontinued the j station, proberly because the pod was better.

the genesis1 sounds pretty good for live use anyway. not a lotta tweaking/choice's of the reverb and delay. i'm not as interested in the amp/speaker modeling. it all comes down to the footswitch. and no stores around me have it. they or i have to order it online.

just don't wanna go through a big hassle and expense. i take a lotta stuff back i'm not happy with.
