hi all ... im using a 16 channel behringer mx2642A and im kind of wondering if someone could help me set up a good mix????? Its just that when im in PFL i find (mainly my snare and kick) my channels peak out , i dont mean they "PEAK" but they hit +7DB .......is this normal or should i be worried ...its just i spose i have very little headroom above this ...can anyone help eith this ????

I used to own the 2624 and sold it within
2 weeks when I purchased it as I found it
extremely noisey and the pre-amps poor.
What else pissed me off about it was there
was no on/off switch. I know none of this
answers your question but just wanted to vent. However do not concern yourself with the purported clipping.Just cut your trim and tweak your EQ levels a bit( I assume your'e hitting the red light on the channel strips).

hey thats ok ,
im not actually 'peaking' but its getting up there , around the +7 - +10 range ... Does that sound dangerous..?? the lights on the strip arent actually going off but it seems i dont have a lot of room for gain!! i can actually turn the gain right off and the signal still hits about plus 2 , something like that .. This is only on the kick and the snare ....
I actually like the eurorack , but then again ive never used any other make of mixer , only behringer .. anyway thanks for the input ??
