Genelec Monitors

Are these still the best monitors for recording?
Years back they were the be all end all for recording studio's.

I was never really too wild about them... They're certainly not bad or anything. I'd likely go with ADAMs instead.

I never have had enough $$ for these, but I have used 2 different models of the super high end ones for recording live shows for an NPR affiliate. They are superb, and you should expect no less for monitors that go for 1600 each.

If you want to talk super high end, I have seen many a pair of Mackies showing up in studios these days, as well as Tannoys
