so i am a super noob looking for 2nd opinions. i was wondering on how to get studio kwality sound in about 3 minutes....
im slowly ammassing equipment and the sort in a high ceiling (25 feet) wood floor, open space, lots of windows. i've started just recording from the dual rec. sans the rest of the band.
question....
what input do you have on picking mic(s) primarily for guitar? placement on the cab? already recorded mesa cabs?howd you set yours up? prefered site to order equipment online? i am looking for a warm harmonicly rich sound, heavy yet crystal clear.
i've played with advice i've read online, layering, mic'ing the electric guitar itself in addition to the cab, what other techniques have you found usefull on thick rythms?
ahh and a question on the mesa.., can my pc handle the head going in direct through the slave out in the meantime?
