I need some help from those of you who have experience recording with GarageBand.
I just purchased a new Carvin mixer, and am using it with my Macbook (GarageBand - hence the title of this thread). However, when I record guitar or bass (I haven't recorded anything else yet), it is very VERY quiet, and barely even audible. The only way I can hear the recording is if I turn everything up to max, and at that point it all becomes distorted.
I know for sure that it is not the mixer because I used the mixer with my PC (leaving all the mixer settings the same), using the program Mixcraft, and all the levels were super loud.
Are there settings in GarageBand that need to be changed in order for the recording to be louder, asides from the track volume?
Any and all help is appreciated.
Sorry if this has been covered before in the past.
