Hey, Christmas is coming up and im hoping to get a Multi effects pedal for live use and maybe some studio work. What would you suggest considering my budget is about £200. Iv been looking at the Zoom GFX-8 and Korg AX1500g. Are these any good? I have a V-amp 2 which is cool for recording but no good for live because of the delay between settings. Thanks.

Check out the Roland GT-6. A friend of mine has one and I think it's a pretty sweet unit. Has some cooler patches than the V-Amp Pro (which I have).

I'm not familiar with the pedals you mentioned. I use a DOD FX7, which is in your price range and works well both for recording and playing live. It's effects are; volume, reverb, digital delay/mono,stereo,ping. detune/pitch, phase shift, tremelo, wah wah, chorus, flanger, gate, EQ, distortion, and compressor. The unit needs to have the expression pedal connected in order for the wah to work but otherwise seems to be a pretty dependable multi purpose FX pedal. Don't know if you will like them but I use mine on a regular basis and thought you might like another toy to add to your wish list.

Hey, vint.

I use a Digitech rp50 for recording direct (like a pod), through a PA direct, and into an amp. Very versatile for US$60. The tuner is great, too. Easy to see, even for an old fart.

The music in my signature line was recorded with it.

Good luck!
