hi. I'm not really one for analog technology, so my 414 has been gathering dust for quite some time. recently, however, i realized how much of a great tool it could be if plugged in between my soundcard and monitors, mostly for caputring spur of the moment ideas without spending 10mb/min on long .wav files in cubase.
anyway, this is mostly for recording guitar tracks over programmed drum loops, and my guitar playing relies heavily on effects. but, spur of the moment, you really aren't trying anything grand...so, i generally just wind up recording direct in from my distortion unit.
well, i've got other effects processors, etc, that i'd like to mix in, via the Effect 1 & 2 sends but, no matter what i try, the sends don't seem to send very much.
I've got it set up like this:
Track 1, my default guitar track, has Effect 1 at about 5. There's a send from the Effect 1 send to an FX unit, say a chorus. The chorus returns to stereo input 5-6. The Effect 1 monitor button is depressed. tape cue is off, effect 2 knobs at 0. track fader at around 7.5. this looks perfect to me, yet i hear no chorus. what am i doing wrong?
