Anybody ever run into the following situation w/ Pro Audio 9.0? When recording a midi phrase, every note you play over the record time gets stuffed into the very first event. So when it plays back, all you hear is a quick giant fart? I've lived with this since it's easily fixed by closing Cakewalk and re-opening it, but I'm guessing somebody here might have some insight as to what causes it. Thanks!

Bman, I haven't had that problem, but I just wanted to tell you you made me spray my coffee onto my computer (a giant fart.....hihi)

yeah that is a good one. But seriously folks..... I tell ya, I get no respect.... (Rodney)

Bman, you show Cakewalk v9.0? Have you updated to the 9.03 patch yet. If not, you should. If fixed several little grinches I was having with my setup.

What say ye?

Also, can you forward that track to me, I'd love to see/hear how that sounds.

I've patched it, but I'm really not sure what the latest was. I'll check when I get home, thanks.

I'd certainly be happy to share this wonderful creation the next time it appears in my music. So far I haven't found a really good use for it to actually save it in the file, it never quite fit the song. Maybe the next project will be titled "Ode to Flatulence", eh?

i've seen it since cake was in dos

dude, if what you are saying is that you press record and the 4 tap intro is going and you start playing before the 4 tap intro is over, and all the pre-record notes get slapped into the front, that's always been there. i mean since cake was in dos. i haven't seen it when using the punch-in.

Yeah, I've seen that happen too. This actually occurs after the count-in and the the timer is movin'. When you hit stop, if you don't look carefully, the track area is still blank. But there is actually a thin sliver of a track aligned with the first gridline where you started.

Anyhow, I realized that I hadn't updated my cake patches since I did a clean install of Win2K. Repatched and so far so good. But we shall see! (Thanks to Mr. Softy for making my life so difficult!)
