hey all,

Cheers and happy August. I hope all is well with you and your musical journeys.

Here's a new track i wrote and produced recently. This composition was created merely as an exercise of syncopation, as it proved to be an ambitious task to tightly execute 16th grace notes on the snare, bass slaps, and guitar groove. Later I decided that I may as well sing some cheese over the top in order to make it a "song"

I'd love to get your input on the song, the mix, and the overall balance of the master. I'm always looking to learn and grow.

for me the songwriting is excellent,

as for the mix, I struggle to hear the bass guitar at times, and the bass drum, that's where it's a little weak, it's still good though, but it could be even clearer.

this is the kind of song where automation makes a big difference, I'd bring things forward in the mix but put them back again so it pulls you in more. It could also benefit from some more obvious mastering like parallel compression on the mix buss to bring forward some of the low level detail and space, it's almost like it's finished but lacks glue.
