Fun with CW tempo map

I usually play around with different tempos in my MIDI compositions before considering them finished. CW saves this information with the .wrk file. This one was written all in one tempo and then it struck me that the tempo map could be put to good use here. Most often the stuff will sound good within a small tempo range, taking on a very artificial sort of sound outside this window. This one worked over a very wide range. So I tried to use the tempo changes to impart a more human feel to a very "sequenced" sound.

That's actually pretty clever doc... I'm starting to get into the swing of these 'conceptual creations' of yours...

What speed was this originally written in before you messed with the tempo... cos it's really cool when it's all fast!

When you gonna crank out something on that SG of yours too?

How'd you do that gradual slowdown? Mouse click and drag? Each time I listen to it, the accordian sound reminds me of a clarinet at first.

One of these days, you'll blow everyone's mind and do a chord shift midtune. I'm trying to cut down on the chord changes in my stuff, by contrast. I've managed to happily do without bridges and choruses, but no more than that - there are still chord sequences. I reckon it's not going to happen until I start playing with others. If I ever get down to about two chords in a song, and if you ever get up to about two chords in a song, I reckon the global climate will change at that point.

I used the linear tempo adjustment tool. I'll have to check back with the .wrk file to get the actual tempo ranges involved.
OK: It was written at 92BPM, then ramped from 180 down to 60 and back up to 120.
And Coop: my SG is in the shop. It developed a nasty bend in the neck and became impossible to play.

Ditto on the accordian sounding like clarinet. I'd like to hear one of your pieces with tempo shifts as part of "movements" in the piece (as opposed to the general ramp). I hope that doesn't make me too traditional ;).
