A budy of mine went to Full Sail and now owns a million dollar studio. Of course, that's not hard to imagine when you look at the price of that kind of equiptment...
Of course, he already knew how to run a business before he went, was already an audio genius, and already a nice guy.
I think he made good contacts and learned the politics of the business in Florida, as well as learning the ropes of recording. Don't kid yourself too much, though. Take a good hard look at the people while you are there and not just the books.
While he was there he told me many times that it was a crock. I said the same thing about my school when I was in college, so I didn't pay too much attention to him.
I also remember he said that the interview process to get into the school is actually a glitzy salesm pitch. They make you feel like a rock star or something. Aftwerwards, he remarked that if you get a job soldering electronics after going to Full Sail, they concider it effective job placement. After all, they did teach you how to solder.
Just what I remember from a few conversations a few years ago.
