FS: Ultra Rare n' Cool Joe Meek The Brick VC

For sale, a rare (I've read that about 30 were made) Joe Meek VC Brick Channel Strip. This has a nicely colored pre, an awesome compressor and an enhancer section. This was one of Ted Fletcher's original designs with the Meek company. I've read on other message boards that this has the same transformer as the original version of the famous Joe Meek SC2 compressor, which was left out of subsequent versions of the SC2 due to cost and that it can make similar sounds, albeit with a simplified controls. I've read that fans of this unit include Jack Joseph Puig and Alan Hyatt-- the CEO (? or other bigwig) over at PMI, which now owns the Joe Meek brand, and who often posts about the advantages of the newer Meeks over the old (which may have merit in general).
I am selling this, as with a lot of other things right now (you may have noticed :) ) to help pay for some gear right-sizing and my upcoming wedding :rolleyes:

i love the joe meek pre I have...and I'm a gear whore who sells shit all the time, and this piece will have to be pry'd from the hands.

some say the brit sound, I agree, that mellow pumped luscious familiar tone.

Meek Brick Sold Pending Payment

I believe it's unbalanced out, so I used it with an Ebtech Bump box.

just fyi, the prospective buyer has been a little flakey. i might still have this-- i will keep you posted. if i sell enough other stuff first, this also might come off the market.

Okay, if I don't get payment for this from prospective seller #1, this is going back up for grabs. You know I'm serious when I start capitalizing and punctuating my sentences correctly. :)
