What about the NTK do you still have it for sale?

still have the ntk yes.

if it's listed as still available i still have it.

If the person who bought the Rode Matched NT5 pair is on these boards, can you shoot me a PM?

:)

Just an FYI...
This guy stopped responding to my emails over a week ago on an SM7b I bought from him. He claimed he shipped it on the 9th but it has never arrived.
I filed a PayPal claim on him on 8/20 and he has yet to respond to that as well.

sorry to hear this rabbit.

i hope it's just a misunderstanding/postage issue/whatever.

keep us all informed yeh?

I wondered about this guy, there was the same list over at GS and what was spoken for here was still for sale there. I hope you can get this resolved.

I was actually going to buy the SM7b as well, but I couldn't find any info on the guy, his address didn't make sense, and so I passed on it. Sorry to hear you got burned.

He almost got me, because he revised it from an SM7 (which is worth more) to an SM7b, and I thought he'd only do that if he were legit. He may have thought the SM7b was more valuable though, who knows.

I have a rule, if you can't verify someone's identity or address somehow, and they have no history on the forums, then I will not send them money, unless it's on eBay. With eBay's buyer protection now, it's nearly impossible to get burned on there. A cell phone number is useless as well. I value that as a means of verifying someone about as highly as I value a pile of dog turds. A phone conversation on a cell phone is meaningless.

I hope you get your money back. If you paid with a credit card, reverse the charge.

Can anyone over at GS help out on this?
Maybe a post to see if anyone has had contact with him or what ever?

As you can see he responded to me asking if the stuff was still for sale!
Maybe just to get more free money.

I just went through a 2 week wait for gear but it was coming from out of the country (Canada) and had to go through customs.

Yeah, he did a couple of things along those lines... Actually told another user that an item was already sold instead of just collecting more money from them, and told me later that the 4040 didn't have a shockmount when I inquired about it... Why not just say it did have the shockmount and make another "sale"?

Just an update for folks:

PayPal completed their investigation (i.e. the guy never responded to them either) and awarded the claim in my favor...

Good news is, he didn't empty the funds from his PayPal account before they froze it, so I was able to get my full refund.

Hopefully the victim(s) over at GS fared as well also.

So, thankfully, a bullet dodged. :drunk:

Now... Does anyone have an SM7b they would like to sell me?

:o

glad you had a happy ending :)

fills me with joy, but not enough joy to make me part with my sm7b!! lol.

good luck with the search :laughings:

Great news Bent!
That was a hairy few weeks there.
And it was interesting that I asked him during this episode if he had more stuff for sale on this thread and he responded by saying yes.
So any idea where this dude lives?

Now are you really sure you want a SM7b?
The EV RE-20 may be a better microphone for you and more versatile.
If your still in need of a 7, I had seen one for sale at the top of this thread. :laughings:
