bollocks redux!
This sale really hurts-- I love this mic, but it has been kind of supplanted by other Oktavamodded mics (012PE's and a modded RSM-5 ribbon) for most uses and some significantly more expensive mics for vocals. If you search around here you'll find many rave reviews of this mic post mod (including my many fanboy musings about this thing).

I'm really only selling this because I need a new music computer (current one is aging rapidly and beginning to literally fall apart).

I have the nice metal frame shockmount for it (which sells for $60 I believe) as well which I'll include with this.

I'll have pictures available tonight

$315 shipped OBO to the US

she's actually part of the problem-- i really need a new computer and she gave me a gift certificate to the apple store that will get me about halfway to a decked out mac mini. little pieces are starting to fall off of my current laptop, so i would rather upgrade a little too soon rather than a little too late.

also i'm genuinely trying to be more fiscally responsible in '08. :(

She's an enabler!

You just need to explain how much you're saving by NOT buying an AEA!

haha... who said anything about NOT (eventually) buying an AEA?

Actually the Nady RSM-5 that I got Oktavamodded is awesome and has satisfied my ribbon jonesing for now :)

I've got a 219 I was thinking of sending off to be Oktavamodded...so I've checked out the process. Which leads to my question: which "mod level" was done on you're mic? I believe there are two degrees of modification, right?

Yeah there are two-- Standard mod and the Premium Electronics mod. This is a Premium Electronics modded one.
I'd definitely go for the full mods if I were you-- you won't regret it.

Actually, I asked because I'm thinking of buying yours...

Though I'm not sure what I'd do with my non-modded 219. Next to some of my other mics, it's useless at it is. I guess I could always be the poster child for "before and after" the mod.

Anyway, I'll think about it (and check out the shockmount on your pics) and PM you if I decide to grab it.

okay i managed to get 2 pics off before my camera battery died. one of them was a dud.
i'm going to charge it for about 30 minutes and try again. at least this shows the mic and shockmount...
