bollocks redux!
FS: Modded/Upgraded ADK SC-1
For sale one (possibly both) of these mics. I recently bought a bunch of upgraded/modified microphones from a dude who goes by the handle of "digitaldrummer" largely because the words "upgraded/modified microphones" to me are like the words "Free Crack Giveaway" to a crackhead.
Among them were a pair of MCA SP-1's and a set of an ADK A-51 Type V Large Diaphragm Condenser (SOLD) and ADK SC-1 Small Diaphragm Condenser. All have had their cheap, stock electrolytic capacitors replaced with much nicer Panasonic Polypropelene ones.
I really don't need all of them especially with the tons of other mics I have. I'm probably going to either keep the MCA's or give them as Christmas presents.
Here's some ADK info on the SC-1 SDC:
Applications: For Overheads, Acoustic Instruments such as Guitar, Piano, etc. Use an A-51 on the Sound Hole and A-51SC on the 12th Fret on Acoustic Guitar for a great Stereo Acoustic Guitar and get great clarity and also very good sonic detail This microphone loves fretted instruments: flattering on most stringed instruments.
