FS: Mackie CR-1604 with OTTO-1604 (OTTOMix!) Midi automation - $400

I'm asking $400 for this very unusual and very nifty, midi-controlled, automated mixer. Send me a PM if you're interested, want to see pix or make an offer. Actually, there's not a lot to see, since the VCA board installs inside the CR-1604.

The unit is located in central Missouri. Original Mackie CR-1604 with rotopod and rack rails and complete hardware for OTTO-1604. OTTO-1604 is a MIDI-controlled VCA array on a board that installs inside the CR-1604 (only the original, not the later VLZs). A serial cable connects the VCA board to a MIDI interface box. You can use MIDI controller messages to control the level of any input channel, the auxes and the master output. you can also program "scenes" and fade from one to the other (at a programmed rate) by sending midi program change messages. you can mute and unmute with note on/off.

Entire unit is in excellent shape. I have manuals for both the mixer and the automation unit, which is currently installed in the mixer and ready to go.

OTTO-1604 for Mackie CR-1604 for $150 plus shipping

OK, how about we separate the two? I'm thinking there might be someone around these parts with an original CR-1604 who wants to add MIDI controlled automation, perhaps for automated mix down of tracks on tape, or perhaps for automated mixing of a live show. So, I'm asking $150 plus shipping for the complete OTTO-1604 kit: VCA circuit board, ribbon cables, serial cable, MIDI interface/controller box and manual.

That leaves an asking price of $250 plus shipping for the CR 1604, which includes the power cord, manual and Rotopod bracket.

I'll ask the bandmates. We would have to sell our bigger board first to get the money. If you're interested, the board we're selling is a Mackie SR24-4. A bit scratchy, but it does the job. Just too big for our needs.

OK, here they are. By the time I get an image down to the 64K limit, it's pretty low res. The VCA board is installed underneath the channel faders and pots inside the main part of the chassis. I have front and back views of the MIDI automation control module.
