no one has any loose change lying around? say, $20-$30 or so? anyone?
 
c'mon i gotta get rid of this.. anyone have anything laying around that you dont need anymore? any books to do with home recording? any cables? rap CDs? anything?

or should i just quit trying?

I have a recording book - "Using Your Portable Studio" by Peter McIan. It's in near perfect condition. Would that interest you?
 
you have any other books? you see i do computer-based recording not on portastudios... im interested but ill just wait a little longer to see what anyone else has... im especially looking for books on acoustics, mixing, mastering, and home recording...

hate to say it, but you're prolly not going to get a lot of (if any) bites on software that came as a "free bonus" with the soundcard you bought. :D

You are right that it was written before DAW's were common. It does have a lot of useful information like tips for eq, mixing, instrument and voice recording, etc.
