I've got an Altec 1592b sitting in my rack that I never use (though I probably should) - so maybe somebody wants it? I'm open for trades - mic pre's, comp's, mic's, or anything else that catches my attention.
I'll get some pic's soon - it's been "lived in", i.e., you can probably find a prettier one. That said, it works very well, has xlr ins and an xlr out wired from the patch in back. It's missing one of the big knobs on the front, though you can still turn it.
The 1592 is a 5 in, mono out mic pre mixer, and has a fairly wicked sounding low and high eq that can be very fun and mangling. I'll ship it with 5 input trannies: 1x 1588b, 2x 15095A, 2x 1588c. Because there is a master volume, you can crank the input and drive it to the point of some very sweet distortion while not clipping into your convertors.
If you wanna buy it, make me an offer. These go on ebay anywhere from $100-$400 depending on the condition and transformer included - like I said, mine's ugly but has all 5 trannies, which you typically won't find in a used 1592.
