For sale: Two inch reel to reel tape, 3M 996 audio mastering tape on a 10.5" inch reel. Some engineers prefer this tape to Quantegy 456 as they say it has better tape saturation (what the engineer who bought it told me). <br> This tape was used for two recording sessions (two is the actual number
as opposed to claiming it's "one pass" like others do, it was actually only used for two days for a total of 7 songs (4 at one, 3 at the other with all of the instruments tracked at the same time so there's not a lot of wear on the tape from excessive retakes) and has absolutely no splices
and was never snagged in the machine or anything else. When not being used,
it was stored in a closet with a desiccant. It was last recorded on November
2005. It comes with the black carrying case that is shown. $50 shipped to your door. I do take Paypal at no fee.
