I posted in the cpu forum but maybe its better placed here. My problem is I just purchased a omni studio (M-Audio) and Cubase SX 2.0. I want to get semi serious at home recording. Id like to mic my amps etc and record my guitar through the cpu... anyway when I plug the mic into the omni xlr inputs, I cant seem to get any sound. Im missing a setting or 2 somewhere maybe in cubase or maybe in the sound settings. Someone responded in the other forum how to set my control center up but im still getting no sound. Its driving me nuts.

Ok now I can hear my self through my mics , but I cant still seem to record anything or play it back. So i know its something not set right in Cubase. With the set up I have above what should my vst connections be? Or am I missing something else?

I am guessing that SX 2 comes with a getting started manual like the other Cubase products. You best bet is to get everything hooked up and your settings right as they help you with, usually in the first chapter or two. Then they address starting your first recording and they do it in a really easy fashion to follow.

SX is (for most) too complicated of a program to just try to wing it. There are so many things that you could be doing wrong that it is hard to give you specific info on what you need to do.

Yeah in my own defense im a total slacker, I've been reading the manual etc but its not pin-pointing what seems to be wrong. It looks like im having a sync problem.... Im not sure if its because when I installed my Delta 66 I didnt reformat and it might be confusing the cpu... although everything else seems to be working fine... as I said.. its a bit confusing.
