Fruityloops: inserting drum patterns

I'm using FL studio.

I wrote the drum beats and used the playlist to arrange the song. Now I need to change the beats alittle and add new beats to some parts in the playlist. Since I will write new beats, how can I arrange them on the playlist without having to change the order for all the other beats on the playlist. Is there a way to insert beats in the middle and for example "shift" the rest of the beats.
 
I'm pretty sure you have to start a new pattern for that. You can change a pattern if it's being used in the playlist. Just copy eash pattern for each instrument seperately and past paste on to another pattern.
