I am looking for someone who uses Fruity Loops to collaborate with or share Fruity Loop files. I think they are small enough to be sent through regular email. I've never tried but I was inspired from my boredom enough to give it a shot. I suppose I am looking for someone with tastes (but not necessarily the same sound by any means) along the lines of early Skinny Puppy, Chris and Cosey, TG, FSOL, maybe even Chemical Brothers. Something electronic/experimental/etc... I can point you in the right direction on the internet if you want to hear a couple of songs created on Fruity Loops. Write me at scottc23@mindspring.com if you might be interested. Thanks,

scott

The only bummer is the way fruity loop manages files. I've found it to be a real pain to share fruity loop files because you always have to transfer custom samples and they have to go in just the right location. I wish fruity loops had a simple search function or something.

Anyways, what kind of collaboration or sharing are you thinking about? I mean, what exactly do you want to do?

That's what I was afraid of, that the .flp files might not take with custom samples. Thanks for clearing that up.
I don't know exactly, precisely, unequivocally what I want to do, yet. In theory, maybe some kind of "across the internet" type collaboration work on "music". And, if thinking optimistically, it's quite easy to make cd's these days, if such a future should arise. I'm just thinking there has got to be a way to easily transfer files of some sort or another to another person, or two, to make "music" without the hassle of a band. I have a semi-firm grip on Fruity Loops, and I figure I'm using about 25% of it's capabilities. Another person over the internet would inspire me and might possibly inspire them. Do you know such venues? Thanks,

scott

You might try some type of 'CVS' like setup. Have a server where you log in and upload samples and flp's. In fact, I wonder if it would be worth the trouble for me to write a fruityloops file sharing program. Tell you what. If there is enough response, etc then I will look into it.
