A lot of fruity loops sample formats are *.ds. Is this a FL only format, or is there some converter that will allow me to convert them into wav format directly? Cheers
They're not actually samples, they're DrumSynth files. There's a free version of DrumSynth that you can download... it will let you convert them to wave files.
wicked, that saves me a lot of trouble. Just out of interest, when using drum samples, what's the copyright situation? For live drum hit samples etc, somebody somewhere must have sat in a studio and recorded them all. Does someone then own the copyrights on them if they're used commercially, or is it completely public domain?
