Fruity Loops plus Keyboard Newb

Hello peeps.

Right ill try and keep this as simple as possible. Its not just about fruity loops per se, but more how do you use it?

The thing is I have a Yamaha PSR 550, witha all the MIDI USB ports and the such, and i have used it to save a song on that i have made. All very well, but would I go about connecting my PSR keyboard to an interface like Fruity Loops to properly make this song??? Or is FR a bit of the wrong sort of music production software I need?

Im not after pro quality finished songs, just songs I have made for a hobby to lay down, produce, record and listen too.

Sorry if the question is abit non sensical, i just dont know where to start really.

Sorry, I'm away from my computer, so can't check exactly right now, but there is a menu to get to midi settings in FL Studio. There is a button on this settings page to scan for devices, and if you click it, your device should show up in a list (assuming your MIDI device is all hooked up). I think there was one more step to enable it.

When I get home later, I can give you more specific instructions if you still need it.
