Front end analog mixer for PT8 LE

Hey everyone. I'm wanting some suggestions for a frontend mixer, not a controller, for my le system. I am currently running a 003+ with a presonus lightpipe. So I have a total of 18 channels in and 16 out.

That being said what are some nice analog mixers for this setup. I basically want something to fine tune my sound beforeit hits protools. In other words do it the real way lol. Thanks in advancefor the suggestions. -Stephen
 
IMO, spend the money on decent preamps/converter. You'll over spend on an analog mixer to reach an improvement in quality...especially since you don't really need all the features a mixer will provide you on the front end.
Just get 16-18 channels of preamps.

Someone turned me on to Toft's 16 channel mixer and i think its around 4k. I have the Presonus DigiMAXLT for ADAT channels. so i have a total of 18 chanels with the SPDIF inputs.

do you like the DigiMAXLT?? I guess the question is if you like the Presonus that you currently have for the 8 ADAT inputs you already have....and you just want some more preamps for your unit, maybe it's better off just looking for some more high end analog preamps. You probably don't need all the aux sends, inserts, busses, EQ's, etc. of a mixer. You just need a good quality preamp. So if you have $4K to spend just go over to someone like Sweetwater and browse:
