In this forum some time back I posted a message as to how I could transfer my recordings from my tape recorder to pc.

That time I could not implement the suggestions as I was away from my place of residence.

I was lucky to get guidance from: Track Rat,wes480 and ChristopherM.
The guidance was helpful and now another problem is being faced by me.

The recording is full of Noise and far away from the actual recording on the tape.

I have used Goldwave to do the recording on the pc.

Why don't you post a link to that thread (must have been under a different name since this is your first post) or let us know what you're using as a signal chain/equipment currently that's not working out.
Basically you need to take the line outs of your tape deck into the line ins of your soundcard. Make sure your levels are high enough, but not clipping.

Thanks for the reply.I have done the same thing. I do not think Iam getting the exact sound recorded on the tape recorder.

Its a soundcard issue. if you have to go line-in with a cheap soundcard, youll get a cheap sound. I had the same problem.
