Can anyone out there tell me how I would record from my VS-1680 to my PC? I have some originals and would love everyone else to hear them as well. My PC is a pentium 4 2.0 gig, 80 gig hard drive. I have a Creative labs, Audigy platinum 2 sound card. I can get the music through the sound card from my 1680, I just can't figure how to record on to my hard drive. I would appreciate any help you can offer. thanks,
PS This is a really neat site.

Raymundo.

record on to my hard drive
You need Recording software like Cakewalk,Sonar, Cool edit, etc. Once you get the software theres plenty of help here.
If your not using software effects, compression etc. and you are basically mixing on the 1680 then Soundforge would be one good choice.
Using the line in on these blaster type soundcards is not the best quality. Think about getting a spdif capable card. I dont know off hand whether the 1680 has the optical or rca type of spdif. You would need a spdif card that matches the 1680 spdif. Spdif much better.

I agree with Duck. Your 1680 has digital outs (spdif optical I believe), so that's probably the route you'd want to go.
