Hello fellow cakewalkers,

I wonder if you can help me?
I was thinking about switching from Guitar Tracks Pro to Sonar. My question is, what would I really gain by doing this ?
Would it be worth the extra $ ?

Any advice / comments please.

Thanks
Pier

Yes it is worth the added money. ;)

But here are some quick questions..................

What are you trying to accomplish musically?

How many instuments are you using?

What kind of music are you creating?

Give us a little more info, so we can give you some more feedback. :D

Peace...

Hi Spinsterwun,

Thanks for your reply.
This is what I am doing.

What are you trying to accomplish musically?

I am recording my own stuff by my self.
I have an audiophile 24/96 so two tracks is all I am recording at one time. this is really working good so that is why I am asking, what is there to gain by using SONAR?

How many instuments are you using?

I am using Guitar's (acoustic's and an electric) a Synth (roland xp-60) , and a drum machine (Roland R-70 and XP-60).

What kind of music are you creating?

I am doing easy listining and rock music.

Thanks, I hope this helps.

Yeah, I think you will do just fine with Sonar. :)

If you didn't want to go the whole four yards with Sonar, you could always go for its cut down "Lite" version called Home Studio 2002. Cakewalk web site has a comparison table.;)

That's just the question guy's, what advantage would it be to change from GT Pro to either Sonar or home studio ?

May be for what I do, GT Pro is really OK ?

What do you think?

Thanks
Pier
